 NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program

Provider class – 8 hours – 8-4:30PM

Providers: Ann Schwoebel (PAH), Erin McPherson (PAH), and Karen King (HUP)

Delivery: Instructor Led
The provider course is for staff members who have never taken NRP or have allowed their provider status to expire.

You need to read and study the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 5th Edition, prior to the course. This is an evaluation course and you must prepare ahead of time to pass the written and performance evaluations.

Obtain the fifth edition of the textbook at least 2 weeks before the course. The textbook can be purchased at Pennsylvania Hospital in the Education Office located in the Duncan Building 4th Floor – suite 401 - cost is $50 or there are 5 copies available for loan in the PAH library.

The NRP written evaluation is a closed-book test and may not be taken home. You may retest once on the day of the course. If further retesting is required, you will need to re-schedule another provider course.

Bring your Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation and a pen or pencil to class.
