Summary:
Cost-effectiveness analysis and decision analysis-based economic evaluations of new pharmaceutical, devices, and other technologies, focusing on developing methodology to avoid bias in such studies and to convert data from controlled, clinical trials into information relevant to the way doctors actually practice. Analysis of the contractual arrangements between physicians and managed care, emphasizing the financial incentives guidelines used to influence practice patterns of health care providers.
