Vietnam 3/2017, Lisa Kumar, MD (Class of 2017)

As part of the Society for Education in Anesthesia - Health Volunteers Overseas (SEA-HVO) Fellowship, Dr. Kumar will travel to Vietnam in order to help train and mentor anesthesiologists.

Rwanda 9/2016, Jesse Raiten, MD (Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine Faculty)

Dr. Raiten is working for a program called Human Resources for Health, under the umbrella of the Clinton Health Access Initiative. In Rwanda, he has been focused on resident education (anesthesia and internal medicine residents in the intensive care unit), the development of a critical care journal club for anesthesia residents at 2 different hospitals, and working to improve the daily schedule for faculty, residents, and medical students in the ICU.
