Interdepartmental 310The course is a one month rotation in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The student will function as a subintern and a member of a multidisciplinary team including fellows and residents from the Departments of Anesthesia, Surgery and Medicine. The student will actively participate in the care of injured and postoperative surgical patients in the SICU. The curriculum focuses on surgical critical care and will include hemodynamic, pulmonary, renal, nutritional and neurological management of critically-ill patients. The faculty consists of intensivists from the Departments of Surgery and Anesthesia.
