BACKGROUND of the Technical Reports and Open Literature Publications: Expanding documentation generated and accumulated in relation to the Environmental Biomedical Stress Data Center Data Bases and Analytic Functions is in the form of available EBSDC Technical Reports, or as Open Literature Publications documents.
Cumulative Technical Reports and Open Literature Publications, currently ca. 1000, derive from composite planning, communication and analytic activity of EBSDC and IFEM, and associated research and development programs or associated agencies.
Technical Reports include some topics of magnitudes larger in scope and data than practical for open publication in relevant open literature journals. Major and rare elements are incorporated by electronic scanning methods.
Open Literature Publications encompass periods prior to current Medline or other computer searchable bibliographical systems. Assisted access to portions of hard data bases for such periods is practical for collaborating laboratories and associates, and in direct support of national biomedical research and development activities of medical, aerospace, military and oceanspace relevance. Key word search capability, including author search capability is intrinsic both to Open Literature and Technical Reports series.
Detailed data bases for most documentation are preserved within the Stress Data Center.
