The mission of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is based on the union of the long standing tradition of academic excellence at Penn and the vibrant enthusiasm of the specialty of Emergency Medicine.
We strive to serve as world class leaders in advancing the understanding and practice of emergency medicine through dedication to our interdependent missions of patient care, education, and research.
Penn Emergency Medicine provides emergency care in three Philadelphia hospitals, with over 100,000 visits annually. Additionally, we provide hyperbaric treatment, occupational medicine, and travel medicine services. |
