Departmental Fellowships

The Department of Emergency Medicine is dedicated to training emergency physicians in all aspects of our specialty, including specialized emergency care and clinical and basic research.

Every year we accept fellows to our Ultrasound and Hyperbaric Fellowship training programs. We also offer clinical research training in Emergency Medicine through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Research Career Development (K12) Award. In addition, we are affiliated with the Delaware Valley Toxicology Fellowship, the CHOP Fellowship program in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program.

With special arrangements and based on funding, unique fellowships have been offered in clinical medicine and in basic science research with an opportunity to enter a PhD program. Fellowships can be individualized to include training in trauma, travel medicine, clinical epidemiology, and many other areas.

The array of multidisciplinary courses and clinical settings at Penn are almost limitless and rich with faculty committed to the educational mission and to excellence in their field.
