Dr. Fish's Profile

Program Summary
Thyroid nodules are common and need to be evaluated for possible thyroid cancer. At the University of Pennsylvania, Thyroid Nodule Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic in which patients with thyroid nodules undergo an ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration. Dr Fish has developed a database of the patients evaluated in this clinic and is studying the natural history of thyroid nodules as well as identifying risk factors associated with thyroid cancer in patients with thyroid nodules.
