Biography
Stephanie Fish, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fish received her B.A. in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania and her M.D. at the New York University School of Medicine. She was a resident in Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing her fellowship, she joined the Penn faculty in 2002.
Dr. Fish has received several professional awards and honors including Alpha Omega Alpha, New York University School of Medicine; Edward W. Holmes, MD Annual Resident Research Award, University of Pennsylvania; and the Stanley E. Bradley Annual Fellow Research Award, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fish is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
Dr. Fish's research is focused on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer. Working with Dr. Mandel in the Thyroid Cancer Center at Penn, she is studying the natural history of thyroid nodules and trying to determine risk factors for malignancy in patients with thyroid nodules.
