Assistant/Associate Professor, Clinician Educator Track

The Institute for Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism (IDOM) at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidate(s) for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the non-tenure clinician-educator track.  Rank will be commensurate with experience.  Applicants must have an M.D. degree and be board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.  The faculty appointment will be in the Department of Medicine.

Applicants are expected to have demonstrated excellence in clinical, patient-oriented research and educational activities with potential for leadership.  Teaching and training of medical students, graduate students, house staff and fellows will be required.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a translational and patient-oriented program which will enhance interactions between basic and clinical investigators.  Translational research experience in type 1 and/or type 2 diabetes and related cardiovascular and metabolic diseases will be valuable.  This is an exciting opportunity to facilitate basic, translational and clinical research within a great university and a prominent health system.
