Public Transportation
The SEPTA Market/Frankford Blue Line (the elevated train/subway stops one block away from Presbyterian Medical Center at 40th and Market Streets.
SEPTA bus routes 30 and 40 stop at 40th and Market streets, within one block of Presbyterian Medical Center.
Two other SEPTA bus routes stop within a few blocks of Presbyterian Medical Center
- The westbound 21 stops at 40th and Walnut streets
- The eastbound 21 stops at 40th and Chestnut streets
- The 42 stops at 40th and Spruce Streets
All SEPTA Regional Rail Lines stop at 30th Street Station. From there, take the Market-Frankfort Blue Line west two stops to 40th Street. Taxi service is also available from 30th Street Station to Presbyterian Medical Center.
From the Philadelphia International Airport
Driving: All major car rental companies are located at the airport.
Follow signs for I-76/Philadelphia. From I-76, take Exit 346B, University Avenue - Civic Center, which leads into 38th Street. Take 38th Street to Market Street; continue across Market Street and turn left into the Hospital entrance.
Airport Express Train: The SEPTA R1 Airport train leaves Philadelphia International Airport every 30 minutes. Take the R1 train to 30th Street Station. From there, take the Market-Frankfort (Blue) elevated-subway line west two stops to 40th Street. Taxi service is also available from 30th Street Station to Presbyterian Medical Center.
Taxi: A metered cab from the airport costs about $20 and the ride takes about 20 minutes.
Convenient parking on Presbyterian's campus is available in the garage at 38th and Filbert Streets or on the open lot at 3910 Filbert Street. Applicants receive a token for free parking in the residency office for the day of their interview.
