Biographical Sketch

Amy M. Corcoran, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Geriatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Corcoran is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She currently serves as the Director of the Geriatrics and Long-Term Care Program at Penn-Wissahickon Hospice. Dr. Corcoran is the recipient of a Geriatric Academic Career Award. She recently completed Harvard University’s Program in Palliative Care Education and Practice, as well as Stanford University’s Clinical Teaching Course.

Dr. Corcoran’s major interest is in providing care for older adults at the end-of-life, with a focus on those residing in nursing homes and with advanced dementia. She is actively involved in developing and implementing both geriatrics and palliative medicine teaching at various student levels and disciplines across Penn’s campus.
