Biographical
Sketch
Dr. Jayadevappa received
his doctorate from University of Pennsylvania in May 1996. Dr. Jayadevappa’s
research focuses on regulatory economics and analyzing the tradeoff
between economic efficiency, equity and quality. His research interests
are health services research related to micro/macro level health policy
issues of elderly, health outcomes, quality of life, health disparity,
and cost-effectiveness of medical care. Dr. Jayadevappa has received
the new Investigator award from the Department of Defense to analyze
the cost and quality of life of patients with prostate cancer. He
has also received the Health Disparity- Prostate Cancer Scholar award
from the Department of Defense. He is also extensively involved in
research related to chronic diseases such as congestive heart failure,
prostate cancer, breast cancer and Alzeimers’. Dr. Jayadevappa
has been a collaborative investigator on several research project
funded by the National Institute of Health and has several publications
in the Journals of American Geriatrics Society, PharmacoEconomics,
Gastroentoerology, Academic Medicine Journal and Ecological Economics
