Incoming Elective Rotations
to UPHS
Trainees rotating into UPHS
for an elective from another United States-based training
program will be expected to have their salary, benefits
and professional liability insurance provided by the sending
institution. The sending institution must be willing to
sign the template agreement drafted by UPHS for incoming
rotations. All requests for elective agreements must be
submitted at least 60 days in advance of the proposed
start date. If accepted, the incoming trainee (and/or
their home institution) must provide the following items:
- Curriculum Vitae (current &
up-to-date)
- BLS Certification
- Pennsylvania Medical Training
License
- ECFMG (if applicable)
- Proof of Professional Liability
Insurance
- Signed/Executed copy of the
UPHS Rotation Agreement
- Goals and Objectives of the
Elective
Prospective trainees who
are interested in doing an elective at UPHS and can meet
the requirements outlined above should contact the appropriate
Program Director for further information.
Any exceptions to these
standards must be made by the Associate Dean for GME.
