Bioluminescence Imaging Core Facility Charges
The core is set up to provide service at fee with no profit
built in. The fees charged include costs for current personnel, operation,
necessary equipment maintenance and upgrades, color printer running cost,
etc.
1. Cell culture-based in-vitro bioluminescence/fluorescence imaging:
(1) Hourly rate $110
(2) Per Scan Rate $20
For fewer than 6 plates / flasks in less than 1 hour.
Service includes assistance with substrate usage, data acquisition,
analysis and display, color printing, image transfer to other formats
(for users who do not use these services, see specific discount below).
2. Small animal in-vivo bioluminescence / fluorescence imaging:
(1) Hourly rate $220 hour
(2) Per Scan Rate $35
For fewer than 6 scans of mice / rats in less than 1 hour.
Service includes assistance with sedation, tumor cell injection,
substrate injection, data acquisition, analysis and display, color printing,
image transfer to other formats (for users who do not use these services,
see specific discount below).
3. Usage of software merely for image analysis without bioluminescence / fluorescence image acquisition.
Hourly Rate: $40
Discounts:
(1) 10% discount to Cancer Center members
(2) 25% discount to NTROI investigators
(3) 20% discount to users doing injection themselves with their
own substrate, syringes.
(4) 10% discount to users making fluorescent (GFP) image scans.
(5) First time users will receive a FREE orientation of the Imaging
System and a 25% discount for the first month usage.
