Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System
Pennsylvania
Hospital was founded in 1754 and is the oldest hospital in the United
States. Pennsylvania Hospital's association with the Penn Medical School
extends back for more than a century and has served as a clinical training
site for generations of Penn students and fellows. Pennsylvania's center
city Philadelphia campus is a classic example of colonial architecture.
The Hospital has outstanding programs in orthopedics, obstetrics and
gynecology, and HIV care which complement the fellow's experience in
these disciplines at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Fellows may choose elective rotations at Pennsylvania Hospital under
the supervision of Penn Infectious Diseases faculty.
