Education Enrichment Programs
- Visiting Professors
Visit by a distinguished research scientist who spends a full day
participating in discussions of recent research with Institute staff;
the Institute sponsors approximately 15 visiting professors per year.
- Research Seminar
In-depth presentation (Friday 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.) of research relevant to
environmental medicine presented by a visiting professor or an invited
medical center scientist.
- Work-in-Progress Meeting
Weekly meeting (Wednesday 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.) for informal presentation
of recent research results by an Institute staff member.
- Pulmonary Cellular and Molecular Biology Journal Club
Weekly in-depth discussion (Thursday 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.) of two pre-selected
relevant recent publications from the biomedical literature.
- Respiration Research Retreat
A full day retreat with scientific presentations by two distinguished
outside scientists and University of Pennsylvania researchers and trainees.
