Postdoctoral Research Training

The Institute's postdoctoral training program provides a basic research experience in areas relevant to environmental medicine. Applicants with an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree elect one to three years of further training in the disciplines of molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or applied physiology. Institute Investigators and Adjunct Investigators serve as preceptors.

The program currently supports 12 positions with funding from an NIH Institutional National Research Service Award (NRSA) in Lung Cellular and Molecular Biology and individual research grants. In addition to research, trainees participate in the Institute educational enrichment programs and have full access to all University facilities.
