Dr. Deitz is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care. His considerable experience in general pulmonary medicine includes evaluation of shortness of breath, abnormal chest x-rays, cough, asthma and second opinions in difficult cases. He is the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. His interests include the creation of systems to improve physical and psychological outcomes of critically ill patients and their loved ones. He is married to Dr. Barbara Berko, and they have 2 daughters, Shari and Rena.
