Dr. Takach evaluates patients for all allergy and immunology disorders at the Allergy and Immunology Clinic at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Her practice focuses on allergy and immunology disorders including asthma, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, adverse drug reactions, immunodeficiency disorders, urticaria, and anaphylaxis. Dr. Takach entered medicine as a second career after working for ten years at the National Football League Players Association in Washington, D.C. She completed her undergraduate degree at The College of William & Mary with Summa Cum Laude honors and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Her residency in Internal Medicine was completed at MCP-Hahnemann University Hospital. During her fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at SUNY at Stony Brook, she completed an elective rotation at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health. After her fellowship, she worked in private practice in northern California where she developed an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of sinusitis and its interrelated problems of allergy and asthma. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; Clinical Immunology Society; and Western Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Allergy and Immunology.
