Faculty members of the Division of Medical Genetics teach at virtually all levels of education throughout the School of Medicine. Faculty members are involved in the education of Penn graduate students in the Biomedical Graduate Studies Program and students in the Schools of Dental Medicine and Nursing. They also participate in both the didactic and clinical teaching, and research mentoring of students in the genetic counseling master's program at Arcadia University.
- In conjunction with the Department of Medicine, the Division of Medical Genetics offers a 5-year combined residency in internal medicine and clinical genetics.
- The division also has a major role in the Medical Genetics Residency, sponsored by The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
- In addition to the clinical preceptorship available to Penn medical students, students from other medical schools may arrange for rotations of one month. Learn more about the visiting student clerkship program.
