to go and things to do. Other information about Philadelphia clubs, restaurants,
etc. can be found on the University of Pennsylvania web site as well as
various Philadelphia newspapers. The Philadelphia Weekly, the City Paper,
and the Friday edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer are excellent sources
of information on upcoming events in Philadelphia and the surrounding
areas.
Of particular interest to students of color are the media sources for
entertainment which often reference upcoming events along with places
for worship, ads for night clubs and hair care. Please also see our own
descriptive list, which is by no means exhaustive, but has places to worship,
radio stations and hair care establishments.
It is our hope that you’ll come to see and experience Philadelphia
