Neoteris "Instant Virtual Extranet" Instructions

MedView, EPICweb and many other web based application users (and other short-term or "one-off" needs such as filling out an online form, taking an online exam, etc.) can use the UPHS "Neoteris" web-based “Instant Virtual Extranet” site.  This is a convenient option for situations where you cannot or do not need the full VPN thick client installed on your computer.

Once you arrive at the “Instant virtual extranet” website:

        -         If you have a UPHS, UphsMD01 or PENNHOSP Domain account:

o       Enter your Domain username and password

o       At the "Server" drop down, and select the corresponding: “UPHS”, “UphsMD01” or "PENNHOSP"

Your Domain account is the same username/password account credentials that you use to get into your computer at HUP and/or your UPHS enterprise MS Exchange email account.

-         If you have an old Uphs Remote Access” / VPN account (created prior to July 2004):

o       Enter your Remote Access / VPN username and password

o       At the "Server" drop down, and select "UPHS Radius

       -         If you have a UPHS Domain account (that has been “Activated” for Remote Access) [i.e. The account must be a member of a “Remote Access - DeptName” group in the UPHS Domain.  This happens after the user has applied for Remote Access capability and received their confirmation message]:

o       Enter your UPHS Domain username and password

o       At the "Server" drop down, and select "UPHS Radius” or “UPHS

After you log in you will receive a few popup prompts (for the security certificate and the Neoteris snap-in); Click Yes for the Security Certificate and then accept the Neoteris “snap-in” software install.  After the prompts are concluded the Remote Access session will begin.

You'll see a link to the UPHSNET main webpage in the center of that screen.  You can click on the UPHSNET link and navigate to most other UPHS web based  applications from there.
