Teaching Conferences

Clinical conferences at HUP include a weekly management conference, bedside teaching rounds, journal club, and Neurology Grand Rounds.

In addition, numerous subspecialty conferences are offered, including:

  • Cognitive neurology
  • Neuromuscular disease
  • Neuro-oncology
  • Neuro-ophthalmology
  • Neuropathology
  • Neurophysiology
  • Neuroradiology
  • Neurovascular

Additional conferences include:

  • Emergency Neurology and Introductory Neuroradiology lectures are offered each July and August for incoming residents.
  • A weekly Patient-Oriented Research Conference reviews the principles of clinical and basic science research in an interactive format.
  • Weekly conferences at CHOP include neuroradiology and child neurology.
  • A weekly basic science seminar series is conducted by neurology faculty, with the help of relevant basic science faculty, covering a specific topic for several weeks on a rotating basis.
  • A functional neuroanatomy seminar series is presented during the first half of the year.

Residents have access to frequent basic science seminars sponsored by the Mahoney Institute for Neurosciences and other Centers and Departments throughout the Medical Center.
