Biographical Sketch

Dr. Bhowmick received his undergraduate degree with high distinction from Rice University in 1999 and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine 2004. During his medical training he spent a year as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health in the Clinical Research Training Program. He is currently serving as a resident in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bhowmick’s primary research interests focus on understanding glial and neuronal interactions in the setting of trauma and other disease processes.
