(Philadelphia, Pa.) – Good Shepherd Penn Partners has named Lisa Marsilio, MBA, of Fogelsville, Pennsylvania, as Executive Director.
Marsilio will oversee the continued growth of Good Shepherd Penn Partners and its inpatient and outpatient post-acute care network, with an emphasis on implementing operational efficiencies and building relationships with referral sources throughout the region.
Marsilio joins Good Shepherd Penn Partners following 16 years with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network (Allentown, Pennsylvania), where she held multiple levels of responsibility across Good Shepherd’s continuum of care. Most recently, she served as Vice President of the cardiopulmonary/complex medical service line, as well as Administrator of the Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital (2008-11), a 32-bed long-term acute care hospital located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Under her leadership, the Specialty Hospital saw yearly growth in operating margin.
Marsilio’s experience extends beyond long-term acute care. She served as Administrator for the former Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Bethlehem (2003-05), where she oversaw patient care services as well as fiscal operation of the hospital. In her role as Director of Special Projects (2005-06), Marsilio coordinated the launch of several Good Shepherd outpatient therapy sites, and as Physician and Community Education Manager (1995-2003), she supervised all aspects of provider education.
“Lisa was instrumental in developing growth strategies for our long-term acute care hospital, building successful relationships to increase referrals and grow revenues,” says Sally Gammon, FACHE, Chair of the Board of Directors, Good Shepherd Penn Partners and President and CEO, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. “She is the ideal choice to lead the development of Good Shepherd Penn Partners into the finest post-acute care continuum in the nation.”
Marsilio will hold the dual appointment of Interim Administrator of the Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse. She replaces Interim-Executive Director Linda Dean-Hayes, who served in an interim capacity since August 2010. Marsilio will report to the Board of Directors of Good Shepherd Penn Partners.
Marsilio received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College and her Masters in Business Administration from DeSales University. She is an adjunct faculty member of the Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College and serves on the Wescoe School Advisory Board.
