Minghong Ma, PhD, Appointed Assistant
Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania
(Philadelphia,
PA) - Minghong Ma, PhD, has been appointed to
the position of Assistant Professor in the Department
of Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania
School of Medicine.
Ma attended Peking University and received
her BS in Biophysics. She earned her MS in Biophysics
from the Chinese Academy of Science and her PhD in Neurobiology
from Columbia University.
Ma earned her PhD with distinction from
Columbia University and the Postdoctoral Fellowship
Award from Public Health Services at Yale University.
She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience and
the Association for Chemoreception Sciences. Her current
research focuses on the sense of smell and how the nose
and the brain encode the olfactory information.
Her research has been published in several
journals including, the Journal of Neuroscience
and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
