Huafeng Wei, MD, PhD, Appointed Assistant
Professor of Anesthesia at the University of Pennsylvania
School of Medicine
(Philadelphia, PA) - Huafeng Wei,
MD, PhD, has been appointed Assistant Professor
of Anesthesia at the University of Pennsylvania School
of Medicine.
Wei earned his MD from the Tongji Medical University
in Wuhan, China, and earned his PhD from George Washington
University in Washington, DC. Prior to his appointment
at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine,
he was a faculty member and staff anesthesiologist at
the Tongji Medical University. He also completed a residency
in anesthesia at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
this year.
Wei's research has been published in several journals,
including the Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology,
Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology, Journal of Neurochemistry,
Journal of Neuroscience and Neuroscience.
He was also one of four chief editors on the book High
Frequency Ventilation. Among his many awards are
the Award for Excellence in Clinical Anesthesiology
from the Shandong Provincial Hospital in Jinan, Shandog,
China, and the James Douglas Goddard Award for Outstanding
Graduate Student at George Washington University.
He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, American
Association for the Advancement of Science, American
Society for Anesthesiologists and American Society for
Regional Anesthesia and Pain.
