Heart disease survivor and Penn patient, 28-year-old Tanya Zekovitch; Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle; and Michael Parmacek, MD, Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania participated in a UPHS rally to motivate employees for the upcoming 2005 Philadelphia Heart Walk. During the rally, at the Rhoads Courtyard at HUP on September 7th, UPHS employees lined-up over the noon hour for free sandwiches. UPHS is the presenting sponsor of this year's Walk event.
