Closing In on the Cellular Culprits of Schizophrenia

On the right are high magnification images of the boxed regions. Note the intense dysbindin expression in the hippocampus’ dentate gyrus granule cells and molecular layer (brown band) in the control case (top) and near absence of dysbindin in these layers in a particularly severely affected schizophrenia case.
