Our department is committed to the career development of its faculty and to training the next generation of physician-scientists and clinical investigators.  In order to accomplish this goal, we have several programs designed to support our faculty members and provide opportunities to expand their research skills in a mentored setting.  These programs support research in the basic sciences as well as translational and clinical investigation. Programs available through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology include:

• Career Development in Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR)
• Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH)

In addition the department has a mandatory mentoring program and encourages faculty members to take advantage of the programs offered through Penn’s School of Medicine Faculty Professional Development Program and FOCUS on Health & Leadership for Women.
