The Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Penn offers comprehensive, efficient, state-of-the-art urogynecology services for a variety of pelvic floor disorders. Our staff conducts national and international clinical trials, providing our physicians access to the most progressive therapies available.
Our goal is to provide diagnostic and therapeutic options tailored to a patient's bladder and pelvic floor health needs. We treat a variety of disorders including: urinary and stress incontinence, urge incontinence or overactive bladder, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fistulas, and benign conditions of the vagina and urethra.
Our services and treatments include:
- Behavioral Therapy
- Devices and Medications
- Surgery
- Robotic Surgery
Our surgeons use advanced techniques and materials such as biologic grafts and synthetic meses to minimize the chance of recurrence after surgery. We offer robotic surgery in appropriate cases, and our surgeons also perform vaginoplasty operations for women who do not have a vagina.
