Awards & Honors

Dr. Okeoma Mmeje received funding for her resident research project from the Northeast Consortium for Minority Faculty Development of the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Excellence for Diversity Health, Education and Research in the School of Medicine.

Dr. Candace Parker was chosen for the AUGS Resident Scholars Travel Award. This award is given to residents who have demonstrated an interest in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery to attend the AUGS Annual Scientific Meeting to experience the current research initiatives going on in the field.

Dr. Evelyn Marsh was the second recipient of The Robert R. Rascoe, MD Award for Execellence in Ambulatory Patient Care. This award recognizes a chief resident who has demonstrated compassionate care and concern for our patients. The recipient will be selected by the attendings and nursing staff in the Helen O. Dickens Center for Women's Health.

Dr. Jonathan Gleason received the Resident Teaching Award for Excellence in Medical Student Education.

Dr. Jamie Bastek received the Resident Research Award for Excellence in Medical Research.

Dr. Thomas Molinaro received the Joseph C. Touchstone Award of Excellence in Research at the 2009 Center for Research on Reproduction and Women's Health Annual Retreat.


2009 Annual End of Year Dinner

On June 19th, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology held its annual end of year dinner honoring our senior fellows and chief residents. It was a great success and we wish all of our graduates the very best!
