The overall purpose is to advance research in maternal and child health.
Aims:
- To unravel complex disease states that adversely affect maternal and child health
- To investigate and validate biomarkers of disease states
- To unravel pathways and pathogenesis that will produce feasible and biological targets for future interventions to reduce maternal, fetal and neonatal moridity and mortality
- To test therapies to decrease adverse maternal and child outcomes

Prematurity Research Group
The Prematurity Research Group (PRG) was established specifically to optimize current research efforts, encourage and foster collaborations, and address funding initiatives on preterm birth.
