The major goal of this laboratory is to understand the mechanisms of hereditary retinal degenerations and age-related macular degeneration (AMD), to perform pre-clinical evaluation of drug therapies, and to fast track laboratory results to patient care.
This laboratory is supported by the National Eye Institute (NEI) and the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB).
