Students are on three teams which correspond to the three surgical
services offered at the hospital, including two general surgery
services and one vascular surgery service. The students are treated
as members of the team and are given responsibilities for the
care of the patients on those teams. They are expected to go
to office hours and take night call every fourth night. There
will be time allotted to reading, depending upon the service.
Students have two seminars each week, as well as required reading
and informal conferences of cases presented to the program coordinator.
