Open Label Trial of Mecasermin For HIV Associated
Metabolic Disease
Purpose of this Study: To test
the effects and safety of mecasermin for reversing
lipoatrophy, dyslipidemia, and insulin resistance
in patients with HIV infection and lipodystrophy syndrome.
Requirements to Enter Study:
- HIV infection with History of lipoatrophy and
dyslipidemia.
Treatment: Mecasermin
Duration of Study: 52 Weeks
