Research Facilities and Resources:

The Division's Gene Therapy Program works to develop the possibilities of somatic gene therapy, developing techniques that may eventually be used routinely to deliver functioning genes into the tissues of patients – to correct inborn genetic error or to provide a new function to the cells. Such basic research is a necessary foundation for the future success of gene therapy.
