    One of the things that distinguishes the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Head and Neck Cancer from similar programs is the degree of comprehensive management it provides. The Center comprises everything from surgical care, radiation oncology and medical oncology, as well as basic scientific and clinical trials that can help patients now and in the future. The Center is one of the busiest in the country.

    What's Inside: Lab-On-A-Chip

    A revolutionary discovery at the University of Pennsylvania soon will allow healthcare workers to detect diseases while they are asymptomatic and can't be seen with the naked eye or detected by conventional tests. Using a swab of saliva or other body fluid and an innovation called "lab-on-a-chip," they will be able to predict in minutes silent diseases, ranging from cancer to the flu.
