Operative Experience:
1200 Head and Neck procedures annually. All aspects of H&N surgery, including conservation laryngeal surgery, skull base surgery, reconstruction, and microvascular surgery.
Clinic Responsibilities: Fellows clinic one-half day per week. Attend meetings of Penn Center for Head and Neck Cancer, with presentation of approximately 600 new head and neck cancer cases per year. This multidisciplinary treatment conference familiarizes the fellow with both surgical and non-surgical approaches in the management of head and neck cancer.
Research: Clinical reviews, participation in clinical trials.
Case Load: 8-12 cases per week
Call Responsibilities: Yes (At attending level)

Additional Information: This Fellowship is accredited by the American Head and Neck Society. Unique focus on Organ Preservation Surgery for Laryngeal Cancer including Supracricoid Partial Laryngectomy, and other open procedures and special focus on endoscopic laser resection of laryngeal cancer. Microvascular Free Flap training in both harvest and micro techniques - 30 free flaps per year. Large volume of thyroid surgery. A strong track record on excellent job placement following this fellowship.
