Major Contributions
Introduced, pioneered and developed endoscopic sinus surgery in the United States. Developed techniques and instrumentation for endoscopic sinus surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, trans-nasal endoscopic orbital surgery and participated in the early development of image guided surgery. Taught endoscopic surgical techniques to residents and practicing otolaryngologists at over 150 courses worldwide since 1985. Developed techniques and instrumentation for expanding minimally invasive surgery.
