The BK117’s unobstructed, continuous cabin and flat floor provide a large volume of space. Coupled with a-more-than-generous
useful load, the BK117 is one of the most versatile and functional medium twin-engine helicopters around.
For EMS missions, it gives you the luxury of separate pilot and patient care areas and it can transport two patients – providing
enough room for full patient access-, three plus medical attendants and one or two pilots. The BK117 C-1 features Eurocopter’s
advanced hingeless main rotor technology, resulting in a more responsive and precisely controlled aircraft. Its compact external
dimensions make it easy to navigate in and out of tight landing zones. And thanks to the BK117’s high-set main and tail rotors,
passengers and ground personnel can move in and around the aircraft safely. The Turbomeca ARRIEL 1E2 turbine engines which offer
impressive one engine inoperative (OEI) performance as well as redundant systems. The BK117 C-1 can be equipped for dual or
single pilot IFR operations. The arrangement and layout of the medical outfit according to functional aspects is based on
thousands of successful rescue missions and the close cooperation with rescue helicopter operators and their medical crews
operating around the world. The BK117 C-1 is “number one” in its class among emergency medical helicopters. In fact, this
aircraft demonstrates its unlimited rescue mission versatility as a modern air ambulance including the Primary Emergency Medical
