The
Journal of Clinical Investigation
launches in new window
The University of Pennsylvania took over the editorship of
The Journal of Clinical Investigation (JCI) for
the next five years, with Laurence A. Turka,
MD, the C. Mahlon-Kline Professor of
Medicine and chief of the Renal-Electrolyte & Hypertension
division, as
the new JCI Editor-in-Chief as of March 1, 2007.
The JCI has an 82-year history highlighting advances in basic
science that are relevant to human biology and diseases. The
journal, which is published monthly and available free online,
receives approximately 4,000 manuscripts a year for consideration.
Besides Turka, the
University of Pennsylvania JCI editors are:
Michael Beers, Jean Bennett, Morris Birnbaum, Yongwon Choi,
Ronald Collman, Wafik El-Deiry, Stephen Emerson, Jonathan Epstein,
