Martha’s Vineyard Island / Harbor View Hotel Information

We are thrilled to return to The Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this meeting. Just prior to our arrival last year in July, the hotel completed a new lobby renovation and added a small workout facility. When we arrive next July, the hotel will have replaced the soft goods in the Main Building’s guest rooms, expanded the Clubhouse Bar and renovated their restaurant, The Coach House. However, when unveiled, it will have a new name!

Our room block runs from Sunday, July 6th to Friday July 11th with pre- and post-weekend accommodations available on a limited basis. Reservations should be made directly with the hotel by calling 800-225-6005. Room rates at The Harbor View begin at $370-$425 per night depending on view and building. The Harbor View also offers cottage and townhouse accommodations on a first -come first- serve basis. A limited number of less costly rooms ($320) are available at the Kelley House, a lovely restored colonial inn, just a five-minute walk from The Harbor View. The Kelley House maintains its own pool and pub and offers complimentary continental breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cookies. There is a minimum stay of three nights at either the Harbor View or Kelley House.

To guarantee a reservation of three nights, full payment is due at the time of the reservation request. Reservations of four nights or more require a deposit equal to 50% of the room and tax for the stay. All reservations must be received by May 6th, although due to demand, our room block could fill prior to this date. Reservations cancelled up to 21 days prior to arrival will incur a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations within 21 days of arrival forfeit the entire deposit paid to either property. For more information, please visit their website: http://www.harbor-view.com/.

Travel

How to Reach the Island
Martha's Vineyard is located within 85 miles of two major airports: Boston (Logan International Airport) and Providence, Rhode Island (T.F. Green Airport). Visitors arriving at either of these two cities can arrange for transportation to Martha’s Vineyard via connecting air service, bus or by renting a car. There is also seasonal air service to Martha’s Vineyard via New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.

Most visitors to the Vineyard arrive by ferry. There is passenger ferry service from New Bedford, Woods Hole, Falmouth and Hyannis, Massachusetts. In addition, there is car ferry service to the island from Woods Hole, located on Cape Cod. Ferry slots for vehicles fill up quickly. The Steamship Authority begins accepting online reservations at www.steamshipauthority.com and mail reservations on January 14, 2008. Phone/fax reservations are accepted beginning on January 22nd.
