ABOUT OUR DESTINATION PANAMA
Panama surprises it's visitors because it is one of the most developed countries in the region, naturally beautiful and inhabited by very friendly people. Seven major US cities have direct daily flights to Panama City: Los Angeles, New York, Newark, Miami, Houston, Atlanta and Orlando. Panama has the most easily accessible pristine rainforests in the world. As a narrow land bridge connecting two continents, it has some of the world's most bio-diverse rainforests. National parks cover five million acres. A key indicator of its bio-diversity is that Panama has 1,000 recorded bird species—more than the US and Canada combined.

The Balboa is Panama's national currency which is equivalent to one US Dollar so there is no need to exchange money and English is spoken as a second language. Dry season runs November to April and temperatures will range in the upper 80s to low 90s. Panama City is a sophisticated and safe city with an unbeatable variety of nearby activities including:

Course Description

Our 24th Annual Winter Imaging Course will be held in Panama City, Panama--where the Caribbean meets the Pacific Ocean. Panama City, founded in the early 16th century and largest city in Panama, is most famous for the Panama Canal built at the turn of the 20th century.

This course has been designed specifically for practicing radiologists who have an interest in Cross-Sectional Imaging: Body CT, MRI and Ultrasound. Our renowned faculty will review practical approaches to optimal utilization of these techniques and will emphasize the best methods for dealing with commonly encountered problems including scan protocols, contrast administration and radiation dose. In addition, new imaging techniques such as 3D reconstruction will be discussed.

The first part of our conference will take place at the InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa.
