Getting to Penn

By Car

Obtain driving directions from our website: www.facilities.upenn.edu/visitus

By Train From Amtrak’s 30th Street Station


Taxis are easily obtained outside the station and the ride is just a few minutes to campus. If you have limited luggage and prefer to walk, anticipate 20 minutes to the Medical Center.

From the Philadelphia International Airport

Cabs are readily available to Center City or Penn’s campus for an approximate fee of $30 including tip. Travel time is about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.

Shuttle service from the airport is offered through Lady Liberty Airport Shuttle. Reservations are not necessary. The Lady Liberty van runs 24/7. You can locate these shuttles at the baggage claim area or by dialing #27 on any airport phone. Lady Liberty will also pre-arrange shuttle service.

Local rail service (SEPTA) is also available from the airport to Center City or Penn’s Campus. Take the R1 line and get off at University City. Cost is approximately $7 each way. Prices listed are approximate and subject to change.
