Rotation Evaluations & Supervision

This in-service should be reviewed by all technologists who assist in the provision of the clinical educational experience to the radiography program students.

The RT Education department intends to provide a better understanding of the rotational evaluation process and supervision policies. Upon completion of this inservice, the technologist should be able to:

• Describe to the student your personal expectations for a successful rotation
• Understand how rotation evaluations are scored and the impact on the clinical course grade
• Understand the importance of accurately reflecting student performance on the rotation evaluation to assist them in refining various skills
• Explain the difference between direct and indirect supervision
• Identify which type of supervision each student needs while in the clinical area
