Postgrad Ed/CME for Physicians --

The UPHS Department of Radiology Continuing Medical Education Division was established over 20 years ago, running numerous continuing medical education courses attended by radiologists from around the world. Courses have been conducted in several U.S. states, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Caribbean and Mexico.

Our CE division was moved to The Learning Center for Continuing Medical Education in 1991. This building, which officially opened as a facility providing a resource for teaching, research and clinical service in MR imaging and spectroscopy, is where the CME office conducts the well-known MR Visiting Fellowship courses taught by our renowned Penn faculty. Some of these courses are avaialble as a resource for our Residents, Fellows and Visiting Fellows from our DVD Lending Library.

Radiology Technologist Education --

The RT Education Program, sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, is an entry-level full-time program offering students a challenging and rewarding curriculum taught by seasoned radiologic technology faculty with diverse professional backgrounds.

The national registry requires mandatory continuing education for all registered technologists in radiography. To support technologists seeking continuing education experiences, the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center is pleased to offer many continuing education programs for radiologic technologists.

The University of Pennsylvania Medical Center also offers a six-month internship for MRI technologists. This course is a full time program that combines didactic with clinical MRI experience.
