Radiology Technologist Program

The program for radiologic technologists sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center is a full-time program with not more than 40 hours per week. Courses are scheduled to begin in September. The curriculum is evenly balanced between academic and clinical coursework. Didactic studies are typically scheduled between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm weekdays, however, some classes may be scheduled in early evening. Clinical rotations are normally from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm weekdays.

Entering students must have 15 college credits prior to graduation (3 credits in English/communication and 3 credits in mathematics/logical reasoning plus 9 elective credits in social science, natural science, and/or arts/humanities or information systems). The program is affiliated with Widener University to provide students an opportunity to acquire college credits while enrolled in the program. Entering students who have not taken English 101 Composition and Critical Thought (3 credits) and/or Math 117 Elementary Functions (3 credits) or comparable courses will complete these courses in Summer Session I (July/August - 6 week session).

The program offers two course sequence tracks, one for students who have met the 15 college credit requirement prior to entering the program, and one for entering students requiring up to 15 college credits prior to graduation.
