The Departmentís clinical programs are robust. On an annual basis, the Departmentís faculty and staff at HUP and PPMC perform about 350,000 patient examinations per year, giving patients access to a wide spectrum of imaging modalities. Our equipment is the state-of-the-art in imaging technology and is enhanced with the latest digital picture archiving, communications, information management, and dictation systems.

State-of-the-art Imaging Technology

Our sub-specialty faculty have received extensive training and have clinical expertise in their areas of clinical service, which assures consistent, high-quality patient care in dealing with rare and complex pathologies. The addition of dedicated imaging facilities in the Penn Tower has increased the availability of the Departmentís clinical services to outpatients and improved patient satisfaction. An additional 200,000 patient examinations per year are performed at CHOP and the VAMC, invaluable components of the academic program.
